How to Find Messages from the Contact Form (Elementor Forms)

Learn how to access a backup of your messages within WordPress and how to export them to an Excel file.

Every time a visitor fills out the contact form on your website, Elementor Pro automatically saves a copy of the submission in the WordPress dashboard. This acts as a safety net in case your email encounters a problem.

1

Navigating Submissions

To view all sent messages, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the WordPress admin panel (Dashboard).
  2. From the left-hand menu, go to the option Elementor.
  3. In the submenu that opens, click on Submissions.

Filtering and Reading Messages

On the page that loads, you’ll see a list of all submissions. If your site has more than one form (e.g., one form under “Contact” and another under “Request a Quote”):

  1. Use the filter All Forms at the top to select the specific form you're interested in.
  2. You can also filter messages by date.
  3. To read an entire message, hover your mouse over the sender's name and click on View.
💡 Smart Move: Export the data for marketing purposes (Export)

If you want to collect all the email addresses of customers who have contacted you so you can send them an offer, don't copy them one by one. At the top right of the table, there is a button Export to CSV. When you click it, an Excel file automatically downloads with all the information (Name, Email, Phone Number, Date) organized into columns!

What to Do If You Notice Delays in Your Emails

If you find that the messages are in “Submissions” but **do not** are not arriving in your personal or company email, this means that your email server is blocking the website’s automated notifications by mistakenly identifying them as spam.

⚠️ Don't rely solely on Submissions in the long run

Manually logging into WordPress to check for new messages can cause delays in serving your customers. If you notice that email notifications have stopped, do not try to change the code settings on your own. Contact Skynetix immediately so we can set up a professional SMTP service.
