How to add a new page and how to add it to the menu
Learn, step by step, how to expand your site by creating new pages and how to link them to the main navigation menu.
As your business grows, you’ll need to add new pages (e.g., a new service, a page for a special offer, or a «Frequently Asked Questions» page). The process is completed in two steps: first, we create the page, and then we «pin» it to the menu so it’s visible.
Creating and Publishing the Page
To create the new page in the database:
- From the left-hand menu in WordPress, go to Pages -> Add New Page.
- Type the page title (e.g.,. “New Service”) in the title field.
- In the right-hand settings column (tab Page), find the section Page Attributes and in the field Template select Elementor Full Width. This ensures that the page will have the correct header and footer without unnecessary margins.
- Press the button Publish top right (and confirm again).
- Finally, press the large button Edit with Elementor at the top to open the visual editor and design its content.

Add the Page to the Main Menu
Even if you've published the page, it remains «hidden» because there's no link anywhere for the user to click on. To add it to the menu:
- Return to the WordPress Dashboard and go to Appearance -> Menus.
- At the top, make sure that in the field “Select a menu to edit” The Main Menu (or your site's main menu) is selected.
- In the left column, in the box Pages, click the tab Most Recent. You'll see the page you just created.
- Check the box next to her name and click the button Add to Menu.
You can change the order of the menu items by dragging them up or down with the mouse. If you want the new page to appear as a **submenu** (dropdown) under another (e.g., “New Service” under “Services”), simply drag the new page slightly **to the right**. You’ll see that it «locks» into place, automatically creating a beautiful dropdown structure!

Storage and Control
To make the changes live on the website:
- Be sure to click the blue button Save Menu in the lower right (or upper right) corner of the screen.
- Open your site's home page and refresh the page. The new item will now appear normally in the navigation menu.
Space in the website header is limited. If you add too many pages in a row, the menu will «wrap» to a second line, ruining the layout, hiding the logo, or causing serious display issues on tablets and mobile devices. If you have more than 6–7 main pages, be sure to organize them into **subcategories (dropdowns)** or place the less important pages in the footer menu.
