How to bulk edit prices for WooCommerce products

Learn how to change prices for dozens of products at once, apply percentage-based discounts, or raise prices due to cost increases with just a few clicks.

As your e-shop's product catalog grows, manually updating prices becomes impossible. Whether you want to apply a general 10% discount to an entire category for a sale, or you need to increase prices by €1 on specific products, WooCommerce lets you do it in bulk in a matter of seconds.

Product Filtering

In the left-hand menu of WordPress, click on Products -> All Products. Before making any changes, use the filters at the top to display only the products you're interested in. You can filter by Category (e.g.,. Shoes) or the Product Type.

Selection and Bulk Editing

Once the correct products appear on your screen, follow these steps:

  1. Check the box at the top left of the table to Select all products on the page (or manually select only the ones you want).
  2. Open the drop-down menu Bulk Actions located at the top left.
  3. Select the Edit and click the button Apply next to him.

Setting New Prices

A large window with many settings will appear. Locate the section that says Price. There you will see two main fields:

  • Regular Price: Click the drop-down menu. You can select “An increase by a fixed amount or %” ή “A reduction by a fixed amount or %”. In the blank field next to it, enter the number (e.g., if you select a percentage reduction and enter 10, (10% will be subtracted from the original price).
  • Sale Price: Perfect for sales! Instead of adjusting the regular price, you can choose “Reduction of the standard price by %”. This way, WooCommerce will strike through the old price and display the new price with the discount next to it.
💡 Smart Move: Increase the number of products per page

By default, WordPress displays 20 products per page. If you have 100 products, you’ll need to repeat the process 5 times. To save time, scroll all the way to the top right of the screen and click Screen Options, change the number of products to 100 and tap Apply. Now you can change them all at once!

Save Changes

After entering the desired values, scroll down to the bottom right of the bulk edit pane and click the blue button Update. The system will take a few seconds to process all the products.

⚠️ Be careful with Variable Products!

WooCommerce's built-in bulk mode works perfectly for **Simple Products**. However, if you select **Variable Products** (those with sizes and colors), changing the price from this screen will only affect the “main” product and not the individual variations (Variations). If you want to change prices in bulk for hundreds of variations, contact Skynetix so we can activate a specialized Bulk Pricing Plugin for you.

The mass update is complete! The new prices have been posted immediately on your e-shop.

Do you need more complex or automated price adjustments?;

If your catalog includes thousands of SKUs, variable products, or if you want to automatically schedule your discounts to start and end at a specific time (e.g., midnight on Black Friday), the basic features aren’t enough. At Skynetix, we install advanced bulk management systems (Bulk Edit Managers) or implement ERP integration solutions so that your prices and inventory are automatically updated from your physical store.
