Budget Setting and Audience Targeting (Ad Set Level)
At the second level (Ad Set), you set your budget and determine who will see your ad:
- Budget: Set a daily budget. To get the algorithm started, an amount of €5–€10 per day is a good starting point per ad set.
- Location, Age & Gender: Select the geographic region (e.g.,. Greece ή Thessaloniki +10 km) and the demographic information about your ideal customer.
- Detailed Targeting: Type in interests related to your product. For example, if you sell baby products, target “Parents with children aged 0–1” or interests such as “Baby shopping”.
Meta automatically suggests the Advantage+ Placements. In most cases, leave them active. The algorithm will automatically place the ad where it delivers the best results (whether that’s the Facebook Feed, Instagram Stories, or Reels), saving you the trouble of manual testing.
Creative Content & Ad Format (Ad Level)
This is where you create what the user will ultimately see on their timeline. The creative (image/video) accounts for 60% of a social media campaign’s success:

Copywriting & Call to Action
Fill in the text that will accompany your visual material, making sure to be clear and concise:
- Primary Text (Main Text): It appears above the ad on Facebook. Start with a strong opening line (hook) that grabs the reader’s attention in the first two lines.
- Headline (Title): It appears next to the button. It should be brief and highlight a benefit (e.g.,. Discount -20% Today Only).
- Call to Action (Button): Choose the appropriate wording based on your goal (e.g.,. Shop Now, Send a Message, Book Now, Learn More).
Meta is extremely strict about its policies. Avoid using text that suggests you know the user's personal information (e.g.,. «Do you have weight issues?»), do not promise unrealistic results, and do not use “before and after” images. Violating these rules may result in the immediate suspension of your advertising account.
